 James Alexander was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984. After passing the Bar, Jim went to work for three years at a Syracuse law firm and concentrated on personal injury, workers' compensation, and Social Security matters. Jim then started his own practice and for eight years handled many different matters including personal injury, workers' compensation, Social Security, family law, real property, and criminal defense. This involved practice in many courts including the New York state courts and the federal courts. Jim did substantial trial work in all of these forums. Jim went into partnership with Peter Catalano in 1995 forming the firm of Alexander & Catalano, LLC with practice limited to representing people injured or killed in all types of accidents, including motor vehicle, construction, premises liability, products liability, and medical malpractice.
